I picked this up on a whim while ordering from Pretty Indulgent. I’ve tried a few of the layering notes in the past and enjoyed them (Yellow Cake best of all), so I figured, why not? Let’s give it a shot.
Part of our long-discontinued Layering Note line, this is rich cheesecake with a tiny hint of graham cracker crust.
In the bottle, Cheesecake smells extremely rich and milky, with a slightly sour tang. It’s not entirely pleasant.
Wet on skin, the sourness mostly fades away, leaving just enough behind to make it really, really smell like cheesecake. It smells rich and dense and creamy, just ever so slightly tangy, with a hint of sweet graham cracker.
It gets a little creamier as it dries but otherwise just smells like a goddamn cheesecake. It’s actually kind of weird how accurate it is.
I had my fiance smell this one, and he said it “smells like a Werther’s original.” So, a milky caramel. I can see it. Creamy cheesecake + a graham cracker crust.
Cheesecake could definitely be worn on its own, but I can also see layering it with lots of fruity notes – peach cheesecake in particular is calling my name. Yum.
Elevator Pitch: Cheesecake. Really, that’s all there is to say.
